NANOTECHNOLOGY AND PEYRONIES DISEASE
Fifty-two years ago, Nobel Prize winning physicist Richard
Feynman delivered a seminal lecture to the American
Physical Society at the California Institute of Technology.
His talk, entitled, “There’s Plenty Of Room At The Bottom”
challenged his audience by asking, “Why can't we write
the entire 24 volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica on
the head of a pin." Feynman upped the ante on his first
follow-up question by asking why couldn't we store every
book ever written on that same amount of space. This
genius speculated that since we already know that cells
were capable of manufacturing processes and performing
other tasks, why couldn't humans manufacture at the
cellular or better yet, at the atomic level. His revolutionary
vision launched the global nanotechnology race.
Nanotechnology is the study and use of structures
between 1 nanometer and 100 nanometers in size. To
